We just got back from our first repositioning cruise and wanted to tell you a little about our experience... in short- we loved it! Our itinerary sailed from New York City debarking in San Juan, PR with a stop in Antigua on November 26th for 5 nights on the Disney Magic. We were a little skeptical at first both in sailing out of New York in the cold and in debarking in a port different from the one we got on. But I will say, we had an excellent time and Disney made everything so easy for us. In reference to the cold weather- sailaway was a bit, well, frigid bundled up on the deck but Disney packed those sea days chock full of activities that we didn't even miss being at the pool. In fact, there was so much we wanted to do we had to make "sacrifices" and compromises! I will say, there were still a few brave souls on the Aquaduck and in the pool during that time but I preferred the indoor activities. We also had no trouble getting in and out of different ports. We took public transportation from CT to NYC so we did not have to worry about a car, and took a taxi right from the port to the airport in San Juan. It was so simple! So, for those of you thinking about maybe doing a repositioning cruise in the future- don't fret- it will be amazing! And the cherry on top is the price point and availability on some of these cruises is much better than others. Try one for yourself and let me know how you like it!
