I was just down at Walt Disney World less than 2 weeks ago and wanted to share some things I learned about Flight of Passage. I had been to Flight of Passage in the preview period and could already attest to the amazing ride so we decided to try to rope drop it during extra magic hours. We got to the park about 20 minutes prior to opening and once let in the park headed straight for Pandora. Once you get to the Pandora area, you will start to be directed either toward Flight of Passage or N'avi River Journey. If you choose Flight of Passage you will be guided in the direction of the ride but will quickly see yourself being ushered down a path (down the line) ending up close to Festival of the Lion King from the back. The line seems to snake around quiet a bit before opening in this area. You may be a bit overwhelmed and think you will be waiting for hours but you won't! What they do is they open the main queue in sections so once they start this process you will move pretty quickly. I would say we only waited about 30 minutes before the preshow and it was definitely worth the process! The other thing we have found is that right now they are saving some same day Fastpass reservations and dropping them in the system at 10:37. This was helpful to us as we had computer troubles with our selection and were only able to get FP+ reservations for 4 of the 5 of us. At 10:37 we were able to modify our Fastpasses to include all 5 of us and we were able to move our reservation up! This was awesome because we had been trying multiple times a day! This may not last, but worth a try if you are headed there this month (October 2017). Most of all, be sure to try out Flight of Passage- it is awesome!!
